With more than thirty years of international experience across luxury hotels in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australasia, and Europe, his work focuses on building workplaces where people feel proud to belong and performance follows naturally.

He is the author of If Bears Did Leadership, a reflective leadership book that uses storytelling, nature-based metaphors, and practical insight to explore calm, consistent, and humane leadership in modern organisations. The book is designed for leaders, managers, and HR professionals who want to move away from performative leadership and towards presence, trust, and thoughtful decision-making.

Alongside his writing, Karl supports organisations through leadership development, people strategy, and culture work, drawing on deep operational experience and a belief that the most effective leadership is grounded, values-led, and human.
